He lost to a dog act, but don’t hold that against him; Tom was the first comedian ever to be a finalist on the show and was the highest finishing human being on the show that year.
In August 2013, AGT asked Tom back to perform as a special guest star (along with Train) and then again to host “The Season 8 AGT Snapple Viewing Party.”
In January 2019 Tom was again invited back to the AGT stage - this time to perform against the best of the best “Got Talent” performers from other years and around the world in “America’s Got Talent: The Champions.” In one the most talked about sets of the entire competition, Tom received a STANDING OVATION from the adoring crowd.

Tom is also a regular on Fox News Channel and co-starred on an episode of CBS’ “The Good Wife.”
In addition, Tom has performed in a wide variety of venues from Alaska to China. Tom came out with his first book, “Bad Dad: A Guide to Pitiful Parenting” (Willow Street Press) in February 2016 which is a collection of jokes, gags, one-liners and pithy bad advice for fed-up parents everywhere. It is this kind of versatility that has allowed Tom to excel in other areas of showbiz as well. So whether it be comedy, voice-overs, or acting, Tom Cotter gives it everything he's got. "If laughter is the best medicine, I yearn to be drugged."

Christine Hurley loves what she does…making people laugh! Married to Jimmy Hurley and having five kids, Christine is never at a loss for comedic material.
Like any great comedian, Christine has an innate ability to see humor in "everyday" situations. For years, she entertained family, friends and neighbors in their kitchens, at barbeques and the grocery store aisles. The only difference now is she uses a microphone and a stage.
Christine’s maiden voyage into the world of stand up comedy was an open audition in New York City. The television network Nick at Nite was looking for "AMERICA'S FUNNIEST MOM." She figured if it didn’t go well, no one in New York would have known who she was anyway…
Turns out it went well! Out of thousands of entries, Christine was selected to be a finalist on the nationally televised show. The producers of the show included Carol Leifer (Seinfeld show producer), Jeff Singer (talent scout, Montreal Comedy Festival), Jeffrey Ross (Comedy Central roast master) and actress Sandra Bernhardt.
Her stories and views on motherhood and marriage are exactly what everyone is living through…people get it and love it!

Ian Lara is really just a regular guy from Queens, New York. He started comedy right after college because he didn't feel like going to law school and he's loved every second of it. Usually you can catch him performing every night in some of the best and worst shows in New York City, or he's on the road at a club or college near you. Ian Lara might become a household name but really all he wants is to get big enough where he can wear those big hats Pharrell wears to awards shows. Peace!
